Manhattan NYC Woman Gets Full Facial Makeover with Facelift and Eyelid Surgery

This 68-year old woman was ready for a dramatic change. Years of sun damage, as well as aging skin on a fair complexion, created a look that was well beyond her years. Deep facial wrinkles around the mid-face, lips, and chin caused her to look older than she was. In addition, she was not happy with the sagging skin and drooping eyelids on the upper portion of her eyes. Dr. Aston consulted with our patient and create a unique facial rejuvenation plan that included facelift surgery using the SMAS deep plane approach, which helped lift the mid-face to a tighter position. In addition, he performed upper blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery) to remove the sagging skin on her upper eyes. Finally, to recontour her chin and lower face, Dr. Aston performed chin augmentation surgery using a silicone chin implant to provide more definition and a younger profile. Once surgery was complete and our patient healed, several nonsurgical measures were taken to help even out her skin tone and create a softer, clearer appearance. This included a combination of laser treatments, as well as fat transfers using fat grafting techniques (both intradermal and subdermal) to fill in the lines and surface wrinkles that remained around her lips, nose, and nasolabial folds.
